Coach Janelle Hester is in her fourth year of coaching for Platform Elite.  She has coached our 17Adidas teams the past two seasons and 16National prior.   Janelle is also in her second year as the varsity head coach at Davenport Central High School.

Previously, Janelle was a graduate assistant coach for St. Ambrose University for three seasons. She continued her collegiate coaching career and Augustana College in Rock Island, Illinois from 2008 – 2010. In 2007 she as assistant coach for the Iowa Region High Performance Iowa Select team. Additionally, Janelle had the opportunity to be an assistance coach for Team Iowa Ice of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL) for seasons. She was club coach and co-director career at Quad City Elite Volleyball Club from 2006-2012. She most recently coached for Nfinity Xtreme from 2012-2014.

Janelle is from Davenport and was an all-state selection and conference player of the year her senior season at Davenport Central. She led the Mississippi Athletic Conference in kills and was fourth in blocks during her final prep season. She finished third in the state in kills in 1998 while averaging nearly six (5.57) kills per game. A first-team all-conference selection in 1998, Hester holds the Davenport Central record for career kills. Hester was an all-state selection and conference player of the year her senior season at Davenport Central. Janelle played collegiate volleyball at the University of Tennessee where she earned second-team All-SEC in 2001 and 2002. She had the opportunity to train with the USA Volleyball National A2 program in Colorado Springs in July 2002. Janelle spent 2007-2008 playing professional volleyball for NOVA KBM Branik in Maribor, Slovenia. Additionally, Janelle played one year with Team Iowa Ice of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).
