Jo'Lon Clark is a native of Long Beach, CA. He is currently the men’s and women’s assistant coach at St. Ambrose University and the assistant director for sand volleyball at TBK Sports Complex.  This club season, Jo'Lon will head coach Platform 18Adidas and is our master coach for 17u and 18u.  He is also an assistant coach for our Platform Beach program.

Prior to joining Platform Jo'Lon was an assistant coach at the University of Charleston, an NCAA D1 men’s program for two seasons while also assisting the NCAA D2 woman’s team. During his two year stint he acquired a masters degree.

During his collegiate career Jo'Lon was a standout player, he led the Lourdes University men's volleyball team to successful seasons in 2014 and 2015. In 2014, he appeared in 23 matches and 87 total sets as team captain for the Gray Wolves. He was named an AVCA All-American, Player of the Year, and Newcomer of the Year in the Great Lakes Conference, as well as being a First Team All-GLC selection. He hit .254 with 299 kills 93.44 per set) and added 131 digs (1.51 per set), tallying a season-high 25 kills as well as 15 digs against Missouri Valley and hitting .684 with 13 kills and no errors versus while tallying five blocks against Cincinnati Christian. Clark accumulated 93 total sets played after two seasons at Lourdes University. He was an effective OH/OPP hitter during his time at Lourdes, reaching 3.85 kills per set and 4.39 points per set. 

Prior to his time at Lourdes, Clark attended Long Beach Community College, where he led the men's volleyball team to the Western State Conference Championship his freshman year as a Second Team All-State selection. He appeared in 18 matches and 58 sets as a sophomore, leading the team with 2.88 kills per set for a total of 167 kills and tallying 33 blocks. He was named the Western State Conference Most Valuable Player and led the team to another conference championship.

After finishing his playing career, Clark volunteered as an assistant coach for the Lourdes men's and women's volleyball teams' 2015-2016 seasons while finishing his undergraduate degree. Prior to this, he assisted at Hope International University in California from 2011-12. 

Coach Clark has an undergraduate degree in sociology from Lourdes University and a master's in strategic leadership from the University of Charleston.
